The holiday schedule is now on the calendar.
All
Virginia Weslyan practices canceled until Jan. 3rd.
Here is a quick breakdown of other practice changes:
Dec 23: Condensed Practice ( 3pm-5pm Blue and Senior; 5pm-6:30 Red and White)
Dec 24: No afternoon practices
Dec 25: No Practices
Dec 28: Condensed Practice ( 3pm-5pm Blue and Senior; 5pm-6:30 Red and White)
Dec 29:
5pm-6:30pm at Fleet Rec
Dec 30: Condensed Practice
Dec 31: No afternoon practices
Jan 1: No Practices
Return to regular schedule Jan 2.
Blue and Senior swimmers should consult the calendar for AM practices.
12/15/09 - RSA and HS
January Jubilee - We are opening the RSA meet to all swimmers 13&Olders. This meet is in Cary, NC on Janury 15-18 (Martin Luther King Jr weekend). Sign up IMMEDIATELY if you are interested. Entries close Friday.

Wednesday, 12/16/09 only. White and Blue groups normally practicing at 7-8:30pm at the YMCA will be moved an hour earlier to 6-7:30pm.

12/7/09 - Christmas Party
TCAC will be having our annual Christmas Party on December 16th, at 6pm. It will be held at the Independence Blvd. Golden Corral. Kids interested in participating in a white elephant gift exchange should bring at $10 wrapped gift.
12/4/09 - January Meets
The Tide A/BB/C meet is up on directathletics, please sign up before Dec. 11th so we can get those entries in before it closes out. This meet is at ODU.

11/24/09 - Thanksgiving Schedule
Practices Wednesday are as follows, while other groups have the day off.
3pm-5pm Blue and Senior practice at the YMCA
4pm-6pm practice at Little Creek. This is the absolute last practice for Little Creek.
Thursday and Friday Practices are canceled, normal schedule resumes Saturday at 8am for morning practice at the YMCA. Monday starts our practice at Virginia Weslyan from 8-9:30pm.
11/17/09 - Meets Opened, Enter Quickly
The WAC 12&U B/C mini 13&O BB/B/C meet has opened. Please put in your entries on direct athletics by this FRIDAY, November 20th to ensure we can send in our team entries and be a part of this meet.
If you qualify for the SEVA 12&U Christmas Champs, please get those entries in as quickly as possible as well.
11/13/09 - Friday the 13th
All practices at the YMCA are still on as scheduled. See you there.
Little Creek practice is canceled as the base is closed today.
Please take care while traveling. Road conditions are poor and there are a lot of traffic lights without power.
11/12/09 - November Nor'easter
Practices for today, Thursday, are canceled. Stay dry, do your homework.
11/10/09 - SEVA Warm-ups
The SEVA Meet this weekend (14-15) now has an invitation up. Warm ups are at 9:25am. Remember there is only one session so everyone is in this warm-up regardless of age. Also, there are no Friday events; distance events are placed at the end of Saturday's and Sunday's regular session. The mile (1650yds) after Saturday, and the 500yds on Sunday.
11/3/09 - New SEVA Meet Replaces CGBD Meet
We will be attending a new SEVA meet at Ft. Eustis, November 14-15, instead of the CGBD meet. Please put in your entries by November 10th. The SEVA meet will be a single session for all age groups, followed by a distance session.
Saturday morning practice at the Y has been pushed back to 8am. This practice is open to white/blue/senior swimmers.
10/29/09 - The Creeping Holiday Season
Already? yes, but don't worry, we're just saving you time! Get your swimmer a gift from our equipment list! Fill in the blanks on your computer, save the file and attach it in an email to equipment@tcacswim.com so we can start working on getting those orders ready.
We plan to attend the Tom Dolan meet at GMU in early December. If you qualify and wish to go, please sign up.
Practice at Fleet Rec is canceled, but there is still Saturday morning practice at the Mt. Trashmore YMCA at 8am [edit].
10/20/09 - Online Schedule
Practice at Fleet Rec on October 31, halloween, is canceled. A treat from TCAC.
With great excitement, TCAC presents the online calendar! Now you can stay up to date with all the latest events and schedule changes. You can even import the TCAC calendar (ical) to your personal scheduler.
As you can see we have a few things coming up. The CGBD meet in November will be our next meet, please sign up now; it is likely to fill up.
Results are up from the ODAC Oct. 8th meet and the WAC Sept. meet.

Morning practices have begun! Senior and Blue groups can practice from 5:30am-7am Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Mt. Trashmore Y.
10/7/09 (2) - Extracurricular Events
TCAC will be celebrating Halloween with two different events. 12&Unders are invited to join the team at Taylor's Farm on Dam Neck Blvd, October 25th from 12-3pm. For $5 they can enjoy a hayride, a petting farm, pony rides, and can take home a pumpkin.
Everyone is invited to join Jay and Curtis at Howl-o-scream, held at Busch Gardens; Saturday, [edit: October 24th]. Individual tickets are approximately $62, season passes can be bought with howl-o-scream admission for around $99.
10/1/09 - Practice Change
This Friday's Little Creek practice is canceled.
Mt. Trashmore Y practices are still available, as well as this weekend's practices at Fleet Rec.
10/1/09 (2) - Become a VSI Official
Parents, are you interested in becoming a VSI Official? There will be an orientation session during the SEVA meet, Saturday, October 17, 8am - 12pm. To become an official, you must attend an orientation before training.

TCAC had great times at the WAC early start meet! It was a very quick meet with about 50 of our swimmers entered. you can view the team's results [pdf]. Didn't swim this past weekend? Entries are open for the SEVA meet October 16-18.

Fill out the information form which contains an emergency medical information and code of conduct. This needs to be turned in before departure at 4pm Oct. 2.
