2/3/10 - Good Luck High School Swimmers!

With High School Districts beginning, we have a few changes to practice, only affecting Blue and Senior Groups:

Friday, Feb. 5th, 3pm practice at the Y is cancelled.
Saturday, Feb. 6th, 8am practice at the Y is cancelled.

2/3/10 - Back to Normal

All practices are back to regular schedule, including Virginia Wesleyan and AM practices.

Warm ups:
Fri session= 5pm-5:25pm
Sat am session (ages 9/10, 13/14)=  8:25am-8:50am
Sat pm session (ages 11/12)=  1:25pm-1:50pm
Sun am session (ages 9/10, 13/14)=  7:00am - 7:25am
Sun pm session (ages 11/12)=  1:25pm - 1:50pm

1/31/10 - Monday Practices and Morning Practice

Practice for Monday at the YMCA is normal.

Virginia Wesleyan is CANCELLED 2/1.

Tuesday Morning practice is CANCELLED 2/2.

1/31/10 - Practice Moved

Fleet Rec is closed today. Instead, we will have practice at the Mt. Trashmore YMCA from 3pm-5pm for White/Blue/Senior Groups. Please drive carefully.

1/30/10 - Practice Canceled

All practices today, Saturday, January 30th are canceled due to weather conditions. Both morning practices at the YMCA and afternoon practices at Fleet Rec are canceled. Please enjoy the snow carefully, championship season is right around the corner.

We are waiting to see how much snow we get and how well vdot takes care of the roads before canceling tomorrow. Please check before attending tomorrows practice.

Decisions about practices during inclement weather will be announced here on the website, posted on facebook, and sent through our mailing list. Please check these sources before heading to practice tomorrow.

1/28/10 - Practice Announcements and HS News

Fleet Rec will have practice tonight at the usual 6pm time. The pool had a malfunction on Tuesday, but it has been corrected and we will practice tonight.

Practice for tomorrow, Friday, has been canceled as the YMCA finishes repairs to the pool roof. Make-up practices will again take place on Saturday, 8-10 for Blue/Seniors, and 10-11:30 for Red/White/JV

High School Districts are next week, which determine who move on to Regionals. It was recently announced that Regionals will take the TOP 8 swimmers in each event, and the TOP 4 relays. This is consistent with the previous history of the meet. However, States will only take the top 6 individuals from Regionals, and the top 3 relays.

1/20/10 - OBX Meet Combined with WAC Meet

The WAC meet was canceled last weekend due to facility failure. The pool is back up now and will be ready for this weekend when the OBX meet was scheduled. The two meets, WAC and OBX have been combined using the WAC format.

A new invite was created and events have been changed a little bit.
Please check your entries as they may be different due to quick entry turn-around.

Saturday and Sunday Warmups:
7:55am-8:20am - 10 and Youngers,
12:25pm-12:50pm - 11 and Olders

Also, please remember Friday practices at the Mt. Trashmore YMCA are canceled with make-ups on Saturday morning.
